Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Combine butter, salt and water.

2Heat to boiling.

3Add flour to boiling mixture all at once.

4Beat vigorously until mixture leaves sides of saucepan and does not cling to spoon.

5Remove from heat. Cool slightly.

6Add unbeaten one egg at a time.

7Beat thoroughly after the addition of each egg until mixture is smooth.

8Drop by tablespoon into well oiled muffin tin or onto baking sheet 2-inches apart.

9Shape mixture into rounds and pile slightly in the center. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

10Lower heat to 350° for 10 minutes until firm and dry.

11Remove from oven.

12Cool.

13Cut a slit in the side of each with a sharp knife.

14Insert cream filling, sweetened whipped cream or fruit.

15Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

16Makes 12 average size puffs.
