- 1 c. soft butter
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 2 c. Gold Medal flour (regular)
- sugar

1Mix butter, cream and flour throughly.

2Chill.

3Heat oven to 375°.

4Divide dough into thirds.

5(Keep remainder in refrigerator until ready to roll.)

6Roll one third of dough 1/8-inch thick on floured cloth-covered bowl.

7Cut with 1 1/2-inch round cutter. Place rounds on waxed paper that is heavily covered with sugar. Turn each round with spatula so both sides are coated with sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

8Prick each round about four times with fork.

9Bake 7 to 9 minutes.

10Cool.

11Put two cookies together with filling.

12Makes about five dozen double cookies.
