Creamed Cabbage

  • 4 c. shredded white cabbage
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. dill
  • salt and pepper

    Blanch 4 cups of cabbage in boiling salt water for 3 minutes. Drain.

    Cover with cold water; drain.

    In saucepan, saute onion and butter.

    Add cabbage and toss well.

    Add cream cheese and dill.

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Simmer 2 minutes.

    Serves 3 to 4.
