- 1 cup thinly sliced onion
- 1 12 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup skim milk
- 18-14 teaspoon dried thyme
- 18-14 teaspoon nutmeg
- black pepper
- 2 tablespoons shredded swiss cheese
Directions

1Peel and quarter turnips.

2steam turnips with onions until turnips are tender.

3In a saucepan whisk flour with 2 tbsp milk until smooth.

4Add remaining milk and cook until thickened.

6Pour over turnip that is in a 1-1/2 qt ovenproof bowl.
