- 34 cup sugar
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 7 egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 12 cup brown sugar
Directions

1Combine sugar and cream in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until sugar melts and mixture simmers.

2Remove from heat.

3Combine egg yolks and vanilla in a small bowl and whisk.

4Gradually stir 1/4 of cream mixture into yolks.

5Then add to the rest of the cream.

6Pour custard into 8 small ramekins.

7Place ramekins in a baking pan.

8Add about 1 inch water to pan.

9Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

10Chill until ready to serve.

11Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the custards and broil until the sugar is melted.
