  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. minced onions
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 bay leaf, crushed
  • 1/4 c. diced celery
  • 1 tsp. minced parsley
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 c. small shrimp

Directions

    Cook onions in butter until yellow.

    Blend in other ingredients.

    Cook slowly, stirring occasionally until thickened (30 minutes).

    Stir in shrimp.

    May use cooked or uncooked, if uncooked just cook longer until they are done.
