- 1/2 c. butter
- 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. almonds, chopped
- 1/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
- 1/2 tsp. French's lemon extract
Directions

1Cream the butter.

2Gradually add the brown sugar, creaming well. Blend in 1 unbeaten egg and 3/4 cup flour.

3Mix thoroughly. Stir in the almonds, oats, lemon rind and lemon extract. Drop by teaspoonfuls at least 3-inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 7 to 10 minutes until edges are golden brown.

4Remove from sheet immediately.
