- 1 cup butter (I prefer butter) or 1 cup margarine (I prefer butter)
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour (sifted)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate piece (I use a little more!)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

1Thoroughly cream together butter, sugar and vanilla.

2Add flour, mix well.

3Stir in chocolate pieces and walnuts.

4Press mixture into ungreased 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 inch jelly-roll pan.Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 25 minutes or until browned.

5While warm, cut in bars or squares.

6Cool before removing from pan.

7Makes about 5 dozen.
