- 1/2 c. white syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. raw shelled peanuts
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Cook all except soda in heavy saucepan over medium-high heat until hard crack stage (295° to 300°) or until peanuts pop open and syrup begins to brown.

2Remove from heat and add soda.

3Stir quickly and pour in hot buttered pan.

4Break pieces off outer edge as candy cools.
