  • 16 drumsticks or 2 lb. chicken wings
  • 1 tsp. ginger, grated or juice
  • 2 Tbsp. shoyu
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 c. cornstarch for coating
  • 1/2 Tbsp. sake (Japanese wine)
  • oil for deep frying

    Separate the wings at the joints.

    Rub with salt and rinse clean.

    Marinate the chicken in the sauce for 1 hour or overnight.

    Dust the wings with cornstarch.
