  • 9 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 3 c. cake flour

    Cream sugar and shortening.

    Beat in eggs.

    Stir in flour and beat until smooth. Add extract.

    Beat on medium speed of electric mixer for 10 to 15 minutes or until very fluffy.

    Spoon into greased and floured tube pan.

    Bake at 300° 1 1/2 hours or until done.
