Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 (16 oz. each) cans red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz. each) cans tomatoes, drained
  • 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • salt to taste

Directions

    In a large saucepan, brown meat and drain on paper towels. Put all ingredients in 4-quart crock-pot and stir well.

    Cover and cook on low heat 10 to 12 hours. Yields 12 cups.

    Serve with your favorite toppings.
