- 1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 1/4 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 to 7 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water; add salt and sugar.

2Stir thoroughly. Add flour a little at a time.

3Beat with a wooden spoon.

4When dough is thoroughly mixed, shape it into a ball.

5Place in a greased bowl and grease the top.

6Cover with dry, clean towel; let stand in a warm place (80° to 85°) until doubled.

7Turn dough out on a lightly floured board.
