Cuban Empanadas

Ingredients

  • 1 can Grande biscuits (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef or chicken
  • 1/2 c. picante sauce
  • 1/2 c. whole kernel corn
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Fry beef or chicken in very hot pan.

    Mix picante sauce, corn, cheese and sugar together in a bowl.

    Flatten biscuits.

    Beat egg and brush around edge of biscuits.

    Add meat to other ingredients; mix.

    Spoon mixture in the middle of biscuit.

    Fold over and press edges together with fork.

    Bake in oven at 350° for 15 minutes.
