  • 400g minced lamb Safeway 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted roasted cashews, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, crushed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Indian Sauce
  • 1/3 cup KRAFT Classic Mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup KRAFT Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • salad greens, for serving
  • pita bread, for serving

Directions

    Combine the lamb mince with the breadcrumbs, cashews, chilli sauce, spices, garlic and egg, mix thoroughly.

    Shape into 4 large or 8 medium sized patties.

    Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

    Shallow-fry patties in hot oil for 10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until cooked through.

    Combine the mayonnaise, peanut butter and spices to make the Indian sauce

    Serve burgers with salad greens on pita bread with a drizzle of Indian Sauce.
