- 2 Tbsp. (1/4) butter
- 1 1/3 c. yellow cornbread
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. plus 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. buttermilk
- paprika
Directions

1Set oven at 400°.

2Place butter in a heavy 9-inch skillet and heat it in the warming oven.

3Do not allow the butter to brown. Sift the dry ingredients into a large bowl.

4Add the eggs and break them up with a fork, then stir in 1 cup of the milk and the buttermilk; mix with a spoon.

5Pour into the skillet over the butter, do not mix.

6Pour the last cup of milk over the top of the batter.

7Do not stir in.

8Sprinkle paprika over the top.

9Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden.

10Serve warm with butter.
