  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • a little cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • prepared pastry shell

    Scald milk.

    Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, spices and salt.

    Pour scalded milk into mixture and blend well.

    Pour into prepared pastry shell.

    Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 375° for 20 minutes.

    Pie is baked well when knife inserted in pie comes out clean.
