  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 1/2 c. hot water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Mix, by stirring, as little as possible (do not use beater).

    Grease and flour pans.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes (two 9-inch pans) or for 35 to 40 minutes (9 x 13-inch pan).
