Ingredients

  • brinjals : 4-5
  • green chillies : 4-5
  • curry leaves : A few
  • cumin seeds Jeera : 1/2 tsp
  • curd : 1.5 cups
  • salt : to taste
  • oil : 1 tsp
  • asafoetida : A pinch

Directions

    Cut brinjal into medium sized chunks

    Heat oil in pan and then add cumin seeds to splutter
  3. 3
    Now add Curry leaves and asafoetida and fry for a min
  4. 4
    Add green chillies and fry for another minute. This time I have just made a slit to the lengthy greed chillies and fried them. You can add then in finely chopped form also.

    Add brinjal and fry until soft.

    Switch off the stove and then allow the mixture to cool

    Once cooled add salt and curd and mix well.

    Dahi Baingan is ready to serve.
