  • 8 c. chopped Damsons
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water and sugar

    Wash, drain, seed and chop Damsons.

    Then measure.

    Add water and sugar. Bring to boil. Cook to jellying point.

    Put into hot jars and seal at once.

    I always seed my Damsons.

    I test the juice in a saucer and when it gets as thick as I want it, I put into jars. I like the juice to jell.
