- 1 lb. vanilla wafers
- 2 eggs
- 2 small or 1 medium can crushed pineapple
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. pecan or walnut pieces
Directions

1Melt butter in double boiler.

2Add sugar and egg yolks creamed together.

3Beat well and let come to a boil.

4Remove from stove. Add pineapple and nuts.

5Fold in beaten egg whites.

6On bottom of pan or dish, place a layer of wafers, then a layer of custard mixture.

7Make 3 layers of wafers and 2 of custard mixture.

8Put in refrigerator for about 12 hours or longer.

9Whip 1 pint of whipping cream and sweeten to taste.

10Prepared topping may be used.

11Put topping on servings.
