- salt and pepper
- 2 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 small bay leaves
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 5 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Brown cubes and onions.

2Add salt, 2 1/2 cups cold water, sugar and bay leaves.

3Cover.

4Simmer 1 1/4 hours.

5Remove bay leaves.

6Stir in flour and water mixture.

7Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
