- flour
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vinegar
- 1 c. hot water
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. cold water
Directions

1Dredge pot roast with flour and brown on all sides in hot fat. Season with salt and pepper.

2Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons brown sugar.

3Add vinegar and hot water.

4Cover tightly.

5Cook for 2 1/2 hours, adding water, if necessary.

6Thicken the liquid for gravy by beating 3 tablespoons flour with cold water until smooth.

7Bring liquid to boiling point.

8(Add water to make 1 1/2 cups.)

9Add gravy thickening, stirring constantly.

10Cook 5 minutes.

11Add potato chips and bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes.
