Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. venison meat, chopped
- 1/4 c. flour
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. hot water
- 1 c. red wine
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 c. mixed frozen vegetables
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 large carrots, sliced
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
Directions

1Roll meat in flour.

2Brown in shortening in a large skillet. Add water, wine, salt and pepper.

3Bring to a boil.

4Low heat and simmer 2 hours until meat is tender.

5Add potatoes and carrots. Cook until vegetables are done.

6Add frozen vegetables and more water if needed.

7When vegetables are done, serve with French bread.
