  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. dates, cut up
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. nuts

    Melt butter.

    Add sugar, dates and beaten egg.

    Cook about 20 to 30 minutes until dates are fine.

    Remove from stove; add Rice Krispies, vanilla and nuts.

    Let cool.

    Roll and shape.

    Roll in fine coconut.
