Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates (not diced)
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 well beaten egg
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Cook together the dates, sugar, beaten egg and margarine; boil gently for 10 minutes.

    Stir constantly, as it burns easily.

    Let cool about 10 minutes, then add the vanilla, Rice Krispies and nuts.

    Roll into small balls, then dip in coconut.
