- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates (not diced)
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 well beaten egg
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cook together the dates, sugar, beaten egg and margarine; boil gently for 10 minutes.

2Stir constantly, as it burns easily.

3Let cool about 10 minutes, then add the vanilla, Rice Krispies and nuts.

4Roll into small balls, then dip in coconut.
