- 1 pkg. dates
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 3 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/3 c. chopped cherries (optional)
Directions

1Cook dates, margarine, sugar and egg over medium-high heat until thick and frothy (about 5 to 10 minutes).

2Stir frequently. Remove from heat.

3Stir in remaining ingredients.

4When cool enough to handle, drop by teaspoonfuls into 10x sugar and roll into balls.

5Flavor improves overnight.
