- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- dash of salt
- 1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1/2 c. walnuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In skillet, combine dates, coconut, sugar, butter, egg and salt.

2Cook and stir over medium-low heat until mixture thickens and bubbles, 5 to 10 minutes.

3Remove from heat.

4Stir in cereal, nuts and vanilla.

5Cool 10 minutes.

6For each cookie, use about 1 tablespoon date mixture.

7Form into a ball.

8Keep fingers moist. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
