Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 lb finely chopped dates
  • 1 well beaten egg
  • 1 12 cups Rice Krispies
  • 12 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut

Directions

    Melt butter and sugar n top of double boiler or heavy saucepan over med-low heat.

    Cool.

    Add dates and well-beaten egg.

    cook for 15 minutes over rapidly boiling water or until mixture thickens.

    Stir carefully to avoid scorching.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Mix Well.

    Refrigerate for 1 hour.

    Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.

    Coat balls with coconut or sugar.

    Keep refrigerated.

    Can be frozen up to 3 months.
