- 12 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 lb finely chopped dates
- 1 well beaten egg
- 1 12 cups Rice Krispies
- 12 cup chopped pecans
- 1 pinch salt
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup coconut
Directions

1Melt butter and sugar n top of double boiler or heavy saucepan over med-low heat.

2Cool.

3Add dates and well-beaten egg.

4cook for 15 minutes over rapidly boiling water or until mixture thickens.

5Stir carefully to avoid scorching.

6Add remaining ingredients.

7Mix Well.

8Refrigerate for 1 hour.

9Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.

10Coat balls with coconut or sugar.

11Keep refrigerated.

12Can be frozen up to 3 months.
