- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 2 c. finely chopped dates
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.

3Combine nuts, flour and dates in small bowl; set aside. Beat eggs with electric mixer in large mixing bowl until thick and lemon-colored.

4Gradually beat in sugar.

5Add vanilla; blend well. Add date mixture; blend well.

6Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.

7Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.

8Cut into bars while hot.

9Cool in pan or on wire rack.

10Roll in or sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
