- 2/3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. dates, sliced (10 oz.)
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts or 1 c. coconut
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Sift flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl; add dates and nuts and mix.

2Beat eggs until very light.

3Add sugar gradually and beat.

4Add to flour and fruit mixture.

5Spread thin in well oiled pans and bake in a 325° oven for about 40 minutes.

6Remove from pan after it has been out of oven a few minutes and cut in strips.

7Roll in powdered sugar and store in a tightly covered jar or box.
