- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 box pitted dates, chopped
- 2 c. nuts, chopped
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients in heavy large saucepan.

2Cook to soft ball stage.

3Add dates.

4Beat by hand until cool.

5Add nuts. Roll into long roll in damp cloth.

6Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

7Slice 1/2 to 3/8-inch thick.

8Makes two logs totaling 26-inches in length.

9Makes 50 to 70 slices.
