- 1 lb. pitted dates
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 stick butter, cut
- 2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 c. flour
Directions

1Combine dates, nuts, soda, salt and butter with 2 cups boiling water.

2Let set for 20 minutes.

3Beat eggs.

4Add sugar, vanilla, then flour.

5Bake at 350° for 25 minutes for little loaves or 1 hour and 15 minutes in Bundt pan.
