- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 (12 1/2 oz.) cans Solo date filling
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs and vanilla.

3Blend date filling and water.

4Sift dry ingredients together.

5Add dry ingredients alternately with date mixture to butter mixture.

6Beat 1 minute.

7Add nuts.

8Pour into 2 prepared 9-inch pans.

9Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
