  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. plain dates, chopped fine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 can coconut

Directions

    Melt butter, add sugar, beaten egg and dates. Cook for a few minutes until dates soften.

    Remove from heat.

    Add vanilla,

    nuts and rice cereal.

    Cool slightly.

    Shape into fingers and roll into coconut.

    Yield: 3 to 4 dozen.
