  • 4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. white Karo
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. condensed milk
  • 1 (8 oz.) box pitted dates
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cook sugar, milk and Karo to soft ball stage (240° on candy thermometer).

    Let cool 3 minutes.

    Add chopped dates.

    Cook 5 minutes and stir well.

    Beat until it begins to thicken.

    Add pecans and vanilla.
