- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 8 oz. dates, chopped
- 1 c. nuts, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cook sugar and milk together until it reaches 236° or soft ball stage.

2Add dates and cook slowly for 5 minutes.

3Remove from heat and add nuts, salt and vanilla.

4Cool for a few minutes, then beat until thick.

5Form into 2 rolls in damp cloth.

6Chill and slice.
