  • 2 Tbsp. coffee cream (half and half)
  • 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pitted dates
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put eggs, sugar and cream into mixing bowl.

    Beat until creamy. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to nuts and dates.

    Stir until nuts and dates are covered with batter. Turn into greased baking dish and bake in slow oven at 250° to 275° about 50 minutes.

    Serve with whipped cream.
