Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.

2Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.

3Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

4Remove from mixer.

5Stir in hot water, slowly.

6(Batter will be very thin.)

7Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch or three 8-inch pans or one 9 x 13-inch pan.

8Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with chocolate icing.
