Deep Dish Chocolate Pie

  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except butter and vanilla.

    Cook until thick.

    Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.

    Pour into baked deep dish pie shell or 2 regular pie shells.

    Top with meringue and bake in 375° oven about 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
