- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 lb. catfish fillets
- salt
- pepper
- 6 oz. tomato sauce
- sliced hot peppers (optional)
Directions

1Melt margarine in a 10 to 12-inch frying pan; saute onion. Layer fish over onion; sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cover with tomato sauce; add hot pepper if desired.

2Cover and simmer for 10 to 20 minutes until catfish is desired texture.
