  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. hash browns (Betty Crocker, with or without onions)
  • 4 c. hot water
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 can cream of celery soup
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. melted oleo
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. crushed corn flakes

    Cover potatoes with hot water and let stand uncovered 15 minutes.

    Drain thoroughly.

    Stir in remaining ingredients except corn flakes.

    Spread in ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with corn flakes.

    Bake uncovered until golden brown at 375° for about 50 minutes.
