- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa or less
- pinch of salt
- vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs.

2Mix cocoa and soda and add boiling water.

3Add flour and buttermilk to creamed mixture.

4Then add cocoa mixture and vanilla.

5Bake in slow oven at 350°.
