- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 6 tsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. sour milk
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar gradually; cream mixture until fluffy.

2Add beaten eggs.

3Pour boiling water over cocoa.

4Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together.

5Combine the milk and add vanilla and add to mixture.

6Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done.
