Deviled Almonds

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 2 c. blanched almonds

Directions

    Melt margarine in a medium saucepan.

    Stir in celery salt, chili powder and ground red pepper.

    Add almonds, stirring until nuts are evenly coated.

    Transfer nuts to a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Bake in a 325° oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until nuts are lightly toasted, stirring once.

    Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

    Turn out onto paper towels to finish cooling.

    Store tightly covered. Makes 2 cups.
