  • 5 lb. crabmeat, flaked
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • pinch of cayenne (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 oz. butter or margarine
  • 2 qt. milk
  • 8 oz. bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. onion juice (optional)
  • 8 oz. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. mustard (prepared)
  • 4 oz. butter or margarine, melted

Directions

    Combine lemon juice, eggs and seasonings. Add to crabmeat. Mix lightly. Add mustard. Combine sauce and crab mixture. Mix lightly. Fill individual casseroles or shells. Sprinkle with buttered crumbs. Bake 15 minutes at 400°.
