Deviled Crab Pate(Makes 1 Cup)

  • 1/2 lb. fresh crab meat
  • 1/4 c. celery, cut into 1/4-inch squares
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. scallions, cut in 1/4-inch slices
  • 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

    Let butter stand at room temperature, until it is soft enough to spread easily.

    Check crab meat to make sure all shells are removed.

    Put all ingredients into blender; blend at high speed until a smooth mixture is reached.

    Form into a ball.

    Chill in the refrigerator.
