Ingredients
- 8 hard-boiled eggs
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. paprika
- 1/16 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. milk
- 3/4 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 2 lb. fresh asparagus, cooked and drained
Directions

1Halve eggs lengthwise; remove yolks.

2Mash yolks; stir in next 3 ingredients.

3Spoon into egg white halves.

4In 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

5Stir in flour and next 3 ingredients until smooth.

6Stir in milk.

7Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.

8Stir in cheese until melted. Remove from heat.

9Spread half of sauce in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

10Arrange cooked asparagus alternately with deviled egg halves in diagonal rows in dish.

11Spoon remaining sauce over asparagus.

12Bake in 400° oven 10 minutes.
