  • 3 slices dry white bread
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • apricot jam
  • whipped cream

Directions

    Bring milk, butter and sugar to a boil and pour on small pieces of bread; add beaten egg yolks and stiffly beaten egg whites. Place the mixture in a dish or bowl and bake at 350° for about an hour. (When baking place dish or bowl in a pan of water.)
