- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1-1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. celery, finely chopped
- 1 c. green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes with liquid
- 1-1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1/2 c. beef broth
Directions

1In a 2-1/2 quart pan brown ground beef with salt.

2Add onion, celery and pepper.

3Cook about 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat. Add tomatoes with liquid and seasonings.

4Bring to boil.

5Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

6Add beans and broth.

7Simmer 20 minutes. Yield:
